Appointed by the Government of Western Australia Department of Treasury and Finance EPCΛD were part of the consultancy team tasked with the design and construction management of the Ellenbrook Middle School. Constructed in two stages over 6 years EPCΛD developed the designs for all the schools external spaces including inner courtyards, play areas and sports oval. Designs included tennis courts, walled gardens, seating, terraces, paved plazas, incorporation of a complex irrigation system and the creation of varied and interesting outdoor spaces for the children to use.
With total contract values exceeding $5 million for the landscape works EPCΛD were a key player in the project team. Working closely with the Project Architects T&Z there were significant hurdles to cross to achieve the successful outcome now benefiting the children of Ellenbrook. This close team relationship was key to the projects success.
