Touchable, climbable, highly visible, these sinuous slinky forms drape over the level changes that wind through a small local park. The installations contrast in form and colour to the landscape but are seemingly soft intrusions into the landscape emphasising the level changes across the area.
The EPCΛD studio created these tactile sculptural pieces, to provide an invitation for people to explore their curves and by doing so entice users through the trees in this intimate space.
Fabricated in sheets of high density polyethylene, this vivid red “worms” were conceived originally as either green or red. The red eventually selected to be highly visible through vegetation and picking up on the spring colour of the native Kangaroo Paws that grow in the location.
